The reason I started learning from WEBMARKS with zero traffic: "I thought that if I created a website, people would see it."

My serious interest in SEO and social media management began when I launched my own website.
August 4, 2025. I launched my website using Wix Studio.
I was just so happy at the time.
"We've finally been able to release it," "Maybe many more people will be able to see it from now on."
I had such expectations.
Popular websites all have natural connections to social media. That's why I also...
Facebook
Instagram
X
I wanted to connect these things with the website and hoped that it would spread little by little.
But reality was far less kind.
It's been a month since the site launched. Most of the visitors seem to be acquaintances I've personally told, "I made a website!"
There were plenty of days with zero visitors. There were also many days with only one or two visitors.
Early Wix Studio analysis of K Web Studio's website
Looking at the analysis further,
I only looked at one page and then left.
There is almost no search traffic.
There is also little traffic from social media.
Mostly regular customers
That was the situation.
"Creating a website isn't the end of the process."
It was then that I truly realized something so obvious.
And then one day, I told my son,
"Hey, isn't the bounce rate a bit high?"
(I was amazed by how young people are these days. They knew what bounce rate was.)
That's what I was told.
"Hmm, this isn't good..."
That's what I thought.
But on the other hand, that one comment made me want to face reality properly.
I was wondering whether I should learn about social media management.
Back then, I was constantly thinking about how to make my website something that people would actually want to see.
On X, there are many communities that offer "SNS management lessons," and I have actually consulted with several people there.
Everyone was so kind and shared all sorts of stories with me.
However, even after repeated consultations, something still bothered me.
"What do I really want to do?"
Social media management is important, but I felt like there was more to it than that.
Around that time, a doctor who was also a friend from high school told me,
"Would you be willing to help with social media management as a side job?"
I've even been consulted about this before.
That's why I felt even more strongly that I had to study properly.
But at the same time, I also felt the need to increase the website's ability to attract visitors.
The discussion with ChatGPT brought us back to the term "SEO."
So, I've been consulting with ChatGPT about this for a while now.
"I want to grow my website," "How can I get people to see it?", "Should I use social media or advertising?"
As we continued talking, there was one phrase that came up repeatedly.
This is SEO.
Of course, I was familiar with the term SEO itself. I had even read a very basic book on the subject before.
But back then,
"So there are fields like that too."
That was about the extent of my understanding.
However, as I researched it while comparing it to my own website management, I realized that SEO is not just a technique,
"A system to deliver information properly to those who need it."
I'm gradually starting to understand what it is.
Moreover, SEO is not about a one-time fix, but rather a "cumulative" approach.
I felt that it suited my personality.
The choice of WEBMARKS
When I started looking for a school to learn SEO,WEBMARKS came up repeatedly in conversations with ChatGPT.
To be honest, I hadn't heard of them much at first.
But upon further investigation,
SEO
Content creation
Web Marketing
Advertising Management
The content was very practical and allowed us to learn things like that.
Moreover, I got the impression that it was a place where they tend to be small and provide good support .
Up until now, I've basically studied on my own.
But this time,
"I want to properly relearn things."
That was a very strong feeling I had.
Actually, back when I was preparing for high school entrance exams, I didn't fit in with the large classroom-style cram school, so I switched to a school where I could have closer interaction with the teachers, and I improved a lot.
I was trying to recall that feeling a little.
I decided to start learning again at the age of 50.
January 22, 2026. I had a free consultation with WEBMARKS.
I was already 50 years old at that time.
That's why,
"We need to solidify our position here and now."
That's what I thought.
I was also organizing the things I wanted to do.
Website creation with Wix Studio
SEO support
AI tool development
VBA tool development
I wanted to build on these kinds of experiences and make them my career in the future.
During the interview, I spoke quite frankly about my thoughts.
Then, surprisingly,
"Ah, maybe I can actually turn what I want to do into reality."
I started to think that way.
Instructor Ki, who gave me a free consultation , also encouraged me by saying, "We have plenty of AI-compatible lectures. Don't worry. After all, you found WEBMARKS using Chat GPT, right? That's proof that WEBMARKS is taking AI countermeasures seriously."
I am grateful to Instructor Ki for being considerate in so many ways.
Since I started learning SEO, the landscape has been slowly changing.
The WEBMARKS classes were much more in-depth than I had imagined.
To be honest, I was pretty desperate.
But I think it was incredibly valuable to be able to learn by using my own website as a testbed.
Google Analytics. Google Search Console. Competitive analysis.
Things that I couldn't understand before, even when I looked at them, are gradually becoming readable.
Then, the numbers on the site started to change little by little.
Previously, the site received almost no traffic, but now it receives around 450 visitors every month.
The number of page views has increased, and viewers are now watching for longer periods than before.
We're seeing a gradual increase in access not only from all over Japan, but also from overseas.
Google Analytics for K Web Studio on June 20, 2026 (I'm happy that it's being viewed in India, Vietnam, and even Brazil on the other side of the world)
Of course, we're still only halfway there.
but,
"SEO really does build up over time."
That feeling has become much stronger than before.
Things I want to write about from now on
In this article, I will explain myself
"Simply creating a website won't guarantee it will be seen."
I wrote about how I encountered this reality and started learning SEO.
Next time, I'll talk about what kind of SEO classes I actually took at WEBMARKS.
